As a brand MRF entered the market in 1980, quickly growing to one of the biggest brands after signing Sachin Tendulkar, possibly the worlds greatest ever batters. MRF became a powerhouse in the Indian market before signingall-time greats Brian Lara, Steve Waugh & AB De Villiers giving them a household name across the world.
The VK-18 range uses the basic shape of the ambassadors, Virat Kholi, profile which is then shaped using expert bat making techniques for big swell & great pickup.
Profile
Overview: Mid to low blade profile designed using the MRF brand ambassadors’ profile with minor adjustments for better balance.
Power-zone: Mid to low blade, with large sweeping middle ideal for all round attacking stroke play especially on slower lower wickets.
Shaping: A full back with minimal concaving keeping maximum wood where you need it. Extra willow is left in the upper portion of the bat for balance. Defined spine runs in to a duck bill toe to improve balance & pickup up by taking weight out of the peripheral areas furthest away from the hands.
Handle: High quality 6-piece Singapore cane, semi-oval handle, ideal for comfortable bottom hand location ideal for players looking for control & comfort.
Toe: Finished with semi rounded toe maximising balance & comfort at the crease.
Grip: Comes with a white Matrix grip (May Vary depending upon factory availability)

Grade 1 English willow with a high chance of colour on one edge & minor cosmetic blemishes expected on front & back. Expect grain structure to have some distortion to it with bats individually tested by the senior bat maker before being passed for finishing. Available in SH, Harrow, Size 6, Size 5, size 4 & Size 3 -
VK-18 2.0:
Grade 2 English willow with colour on one edge & cosmetic blemishes to be expected. Expect grain structure to have some distortion or wave to it. Available in SH -

Grade 3 English Willow with colour on one edge, knots & some stains, or speck to be expected. Expect grain structure to have some distortion or wave to it. Available in SH. -
